The American Valarie Allman was the great attraction at the USATF Showcase, which took place this Sunday in Prairie View, Texas, and is part of the World Athletic Continental Tour, silver label.
Allman triumphed with an excellent 67.74 meter throw to climb to fourth place on the 2021 world chart, and she was escorted by Shadae Lawrence (62.48) of Jamaica and Rachel Dincoff (59.78) of the United States.
In the hammer throw, American Gwen Berry was the winner with 72.80 meters, followed by New Zealand’s Lauren Bruce (72.59) and Canadian Julliam Weir (68.72).
Another relevant result was the victory of Canadian Liz Gleadle in the javelin with 63.17 meters.
In the 400 hurdles, Deonca Bookman from the USA was the winner with 57.02 seconds, followed by the Colombian Melissa González (57.61) and the local Brooke Jaworski 57.76).
In that same event, but in men, Costa Rica achieved first and second place with Emmanuel Nina Villalba (50.26) and Gerald Drumond (50.53), leaving Aldrich Bailey Jr from the United States in third position with 50.62.
In the women’s 400m dash, Natasha Hastings was first with 51.45, accompanied on the podium by Philipe Francis and Kendall Baisden, with 52.01 and 52.71, respectively.
In the 100 hurdles, the victory belonged to Evonne Martin (12.80), ahead of Chanell Brissett (12.91) and Remy Amarteifo (13.49) from Ghana.
In the 800m, Allie Wilson prevailed in 1:59.92 minutes, followed by Kendra Chambers (2:01.01) and Olivia Baker (2:03.00).
